It has not yet been proven that his youngest son named Thomas was, in fact, the Thomas LEATHERBURY (LEATHERBARROW) whose will was probated in Accomack County, Virginia on 19 Aug 1673. However, it is known that when this Thomas Leatherbury was granted 100 acres of land for transporting himself into the Colony of Maryland in 1638 his surname was spelled as "Letherborow" suggesting his surname was Leatherbarrow, which may be a more modern spelling for Leatherborough.
