In the name of God amen I william Angella Sen'r of the county of Cumberland being my perfect scences (sic) & memory do make this my last will and testament as followeth.

Item I give to my son William Angella one shilling sterling.
Item I give to my son Benjaman (sic) Angella one shilling sterling.
Item I give to my son Nicholas Angella one shilling sterling.
Item I lend to my son James Angella during his natural life the land and plantation whereon he now lives containing one hundred acres and after his discease(sic) I give the said land to his son William and his heirs & assigns forever.
Item I give to my son Joseph Angella the land and plantation whereon he now lives containing one hundred and forty acres to him & his heirs assigns forever.
I likewise give to my said son Joseph one negro man named Peter to him & his heirs to be delivered him after the death of my wife unto whom I lend the use of the said negro.
Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth Durham one shilling sterling.
Item I give to my daughter Mary Genings ten pounds current money to be paid in a store towards the support of her and her children.
Item I lend to my beloved wife Catherine during her natural life the land and plantation whereon I now live likewise all the residue of my estate of what nature soever; and after he death, I give the same to my son Bartledd Angella and his heirs & assigns forever. This Indenture made this XXI Day of November in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and forty three between William Mackcoy of the County of Goochland and of the one part and William Angela of the parish of Saint Martins in the County of Hanover of the other part witnesseth that the said William Mackcoy for and in the consideration of the sum of forty five pounds current money to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of those presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied consented and paid and thereof and every part and parcel thereof doth hereby acquit and discharge the said William Angela his heirs Executors, Administrators of forever hath granted sold aliened enfeoffed and confirm unto the said William Angela his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Goochland on both sides of Angola Creek of Appomattox River containing by estimation four hundred acres be the same more or less and bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning at a pine Richard Mosbys Corner and running thence new lines South eighty degrees West four hundred and eleven poles to a pine South ten degrees East one hundred and sixty eight poles crossing Angola Creek to a pine North eighty degrees East three hundred and fifty poles to points North ten degrees East thirty one poles to a hickory and thence on Richard Mosby the same course continued one hundred and forty six poles to the beginning, to have hold and peaceably to enjoy the aforesaid four hundred acres of land above bounded with all houses orchards gardens woods waywaters underwoods and meadow grounds with all other and singular the improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining from this claim right or wife of him the said Mackcoy his heirs Executors etc. or any other person or persons whatsoever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said William Angel his heirs Executors or assigns forever and the said William Mackcoy for himself his heirs Executors, etc. doth covenant promise and agree that he will from time to time and at all times hereafter against all persons whatsoever the right to the above said land and promises warrant and forever defend to the said William Angel his heirs and assigns and the said Mackcoy doth for himself his heirs do further promise that he shall and will be ready at all times forever hereafter to make and further right conveyance or title that he the said William Angel his heirs or assigns or his or their council learned in the law shall lawfully require. Anglea who is said to be so absconded that common process cannot be served
upon him for seven pounds fifteen shillings and three pence said to be due
from the said Benjamin to the said Abraham this day came the said Abraham and
the sheriff having made return that he had attached all the estate of the
said Benjamin in the hands of William Hambleton and had summoned him to
appear here to render an accoount therof the said Benjamin was solemnly
called and came not but made default the said William Hambleton appeared and
being sworn saith that he hath of the said Benjamin's estate in his hand two
pounds eight shillings and seven pence and no more whereupon the said Abraham
made oath to the justness of his demands forlthe sum of seven pounds fifteen
shillings and two pence therefore it is considered by the court that the said
Abraham recover against the said Benjamin the said sum together with his
costs by him in this behalf expended and it is ordered that the said William
Hambleton pay the aforesaid sum of mony of the said Benjamin's estate in his
